Standard agreements allow users to blindly tick a checkbox without ever viewing the terms, leaving agreements open to legal disputes in court. When enabled, this feature locks the checkbox until active scrolling reaches the bottom of the container.

On the front end, the agreement checkbox remains visibly grayed out and non-clickable. As soon as the user scrolls through the full container to the bottom line, the script dynamically unlocks the checkbox and permits affirmative assent.

Notification Merge Tags & Audit Trail Generation

By default, standard Gravity Forms notifications using the {all_fields} tag omit static terms content to keep emails concise. However, in legal disputes, proving the exact terms wording presented at the time of submission is essential. The addon provides specialized merge tags to capture this audit trail:

• {the_term_[field_id]}: Outputs the full contractual text stored in The Terms for that specific field ID.
• {term_agree_statement_[field_id]}: Outputs the agreement statement label confirmed by the user.
• {all_fields:include_terms}: Modifies standard {all_fields} email output to automatically include the complete terms and agreement statement inline.
