The Clover payment processing lifecycle operates in several high-security phases:

1. Customer Submission: The buyer enters order quantities, billing information, and card details on your Gravity Form.
2. Client-Side Tokenization: Card numbers are securely tokenized with Clover’s API prior to submission, generating a single-use payment token.
3. Server-Side Charge: WordPress transmits the encrypted token along with the transaction total and order line items to Clover.
4. Webhook Confirmation: Clover authorizes the charge, confirms payment capture, and triggers WordPress post-payment actions (such as automated user confirmation emails and notification routing).
5. Dashboard Synchronization: The transaction is recorded in your Clover Merchant Dashboard and tagged with the customer email for automated digital receipts.
