What does it do?

Automate E-Commerce Customer Support Directly Inside Zendesk

Delivering exceptional post-purchase support is essential for high-converting WooCommerce stores. When customers purchase digital software, professional consulting, subscription memberships, or physical equipment, their support history, contact details, and purchase records should instantly be accessible to your support agents inside Zendesk.

The WooCommerce Zendesk Integration add-on establishes a direct, automated bridge between your WooCommerce digital storefront and Zendesk. The moment a customer completes checkout or enters payment processing, the add-on interrogates the Zendesk API in real time. It identifies existing customer profiles by email address or automatically creates a verified Zendesk User profile complete with customer billing name, phone number, and customizable purchase tags.

Instant Support Ticket Creation & Onboarding Triggers

For high-touch products, onboarding consultations, or custom physical shipments, support teams often need to proactively reach out immediately after checkout. With our granular Product Feed Mapper, store owners can enable automatic Ticket Creation for specific products. Zendesk automatically generates a prioritized support ticket containing the customer’s order total, status, and purchased items, allowing support agents or account managers to begin onboarding without manual dispatch.

Eliminate Fragile Webhooks & Costly Middleware Fees

Third-party automation services like Zapier, Make, or custom webhook dispatchers charge recurring monthly fees per transaction and fail during traffic surges. This add-on runs entirely within your WordPress environment, executing direct server-to-server REST API calls via secure Zendesk API tokens. There are zero middleware fees, zero transaction limits, and no external points of failure.

Granular Purchase-Based Tagging & Segmentation

Segmenting customers by their purchase history allows support teams to tailor SLA response times and routing rules. With the Feed Mapper, assign custom Zendesk tags (e.g. vip-customer, software-license, priority-support) whenever specific items are purchased. Zendesk triggers, macros, and views can immediately act upon these tags to route tickets to the appropriate department.

Full Verification Audit Trail in WooCommerce

Transparency is paramount for customer service operations. Every successful API sync appends an immutable order note directly into the WooCommerce order edit screen. Administrators can instantly review the generated Zendesk User ID, Ticket ID, and applied tags directly within WordPress.

How does it work?

  1. Customer Completes Checkout: A shopper purchases products or services on your WooCommerce storefront.
  2. Order Status Transition: WooCommerce updates the order status to Processing or Completed based on payment authorization and your trigger rules.
  3. Intelligent Zendesk Lookup: The add-on checks Zendesk via API for matching customer email addresses to prevent duplicate user creation.
  4. Profile Enrichment & Ticket Dispatch: The customer’s Zendesk profile is updated with billing details and custom tags. If ticket creation is enabled for the purchased product, a new onboarding ticket is immediately opened.
  5. Audit Note Appended: The Zendesk User ID and Ticket ID are recorded into the WooCommerce order notes for effortless reference by store managers.
