Reading challenges, step challenges and fundraising distance months usually run on a paper chart or a shared spreadsheet: totals lag weeks behind, odd entries slip through, full names end up on a public wall and certificates are typed on the last afternoon. The Gravity Forms Activity Challenges & Leaderboards add-on moves the whole challenge onto your own website. You set the dates, the unit (minutes, books, steps, kilometres or your own), a personal goal, optional teams and a daily limit; people join through one Gravity Forms form and log through another, with a signed personal link from their welcome e-mail or their own login.

Your server checks every entry: no future days, only days inside the challenge, amounts greater than zero and a daily limit counted in one database step, so it holds even when entries arrive at the same moment. People can correct an entry for a few days, and every change is recorded with the old and new values; switch on approvals to check entries before they count.

Leaderboards for people and teams show only those who agreed, by nickname or first name and initial, with an optional ranks-only mode. Badges light up at 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent with one congratulation e-mail each, a certificate PDF is ready at 100 percent, and the organiser dashboard shows totals, approvals and the change history with CSV export. When someone joins, the add-on checks that they have not joined before, saves them in its own table and e-mails a personal link signed with your site's secret keys. When an entry is sent, the server checks the day against today and the challenge dates and the amount against the unit and the daily limit; the daily total is raised with one conditional database update, so two entries at the same moment cannot pass the limit together. Counted entries update the totals, and each milestone is claimed with one insert on a unique key, so each congratulation e-mail goes out once. Edits follow the same rules and are written to a change history. Leaderboards read the totals and show only public names of people who agreed. Certificates are drawn on your server with a bundled PDF library. Everything happens on your own server — the add-on makes no outside HTTP request beyond the licence and update checks.
