Send your website forms straight into your own backend. The Gravity Forms Appwrite Premium Add-on creates a document in your Appwrite database collection from every submission, mapping each form field to a collection attribute. It works with Appwrite Cloud and with a self-hosted Appwrite server, through your own endpoint, project id and API key.

Appwrite is an open-source backend server, a self-hostable alternative to Firebase, with databases, authentication and storage. This add-on uses its Databases API: enter your endpoint (https://cloud.appwrite.io/v1 for Appwrite Cloud, or your own address for a self-hosted server), your project id, an API key with the documents write scope, and your database id, then check everything with the Test connection button. Each feed names the collection and maps the attributes.

The create call is short and fully guarded, so a failed call only writes a note on the entry and fires a notification event; it never blocks the submission and never reaches the visitor. A timeout is never repeated, so the add-on never writes the same entry twice without your confirmation. Your API key is encrypted on your site, never shown again and never logged, and the add-on only ever contacts the endpoint you set.

When a form is submitted, the add-on builds the document from your attribute map, replacing merge tags, and creates it with POST {endpoint}/databases/{databaseId}/collections/{collectionId}/documents, authenticated with the X-Appwrite-Project and X-Appwrite-Key headers. Each document is given a unique id so the create is idempotent on the add-on side, and the call never follows a redirect to another host. It keeps the document id and status on the entry. The API key is encrypted at rest and the endpoint is locked, so nothing is sent anywhere except your Appwrite server.
