Turn every form submission into a shipment. The Gravity Forms EasyPost Premium Add-on takes each submission and, through the EasyPost REST API, creates a shipment from the from and to address and the parcel you map from your form fields, then fetches live rates from the carriers connected to your EasyPost account. It can stop there and store the rates for your records, or go one step further and buy a postage label — at the cheapest rate, or at a carrier and service you choose — and keep the tracking code and the label URL with the entry.

It is built for anyone who takes orders, returns, bookings or pickup requests through a form and needs real postage behind them: an online shop, a maker, a repair desk, a warehouse, a charity sending packs. Map the recipient name, address and parcel weight and size from your fields, set your warehouse as the sender, and decide per feed whether to only price the shipment or to buy the label outright. The tracking code, the label URL and the selected rate are available as merge tags, so your confirmation e-mail and admin notification can carry them straight to the customer and your team.

You connect it with your own EasyPost API key, created in your EasyPost account settings (free Test and Production keys are available). The key is encrypted before it is stored on your site, it is never shown again and never written to an entry or a log, and the add-on only ever contacts the EasyPost REST API. A Test connection button on the settings page confirms your key works without creating anything, and the design is safe to retry: a shipment is created once per entry and a label is never bought twice, even if a submission is resent.

When a form is submitted and the feed condition is met, the add-on builds the shipment from the feed: the from and to address and the parcel weight and size, each from a fixed value or a merge tag from your fields. It sends one request to POST the shipment to the EasyPost REST API with your API key in the HTTP Basic Authorization header, and reads back the live rates. In rate-only mode it stores the cheapest rate and a summary. In buy-a-label mode it then buys the label at the cheapest rate, or at the carrier and service you chose, and stores the tracking code, the label URL and the selected rate. The host is fixed to api.easypost.com, a redirect is never followed, and the key never travels in the URL or the body. A clear note records what happened, and a shipment is created once per entry so a retry never buys a label twice.
