When a company renames itself, a staff member leaves or a site moves from staging to live, the old name, e-mail address or URL is spread over dozens of Gravity Forms: in form titles, field labels and descriptions, choices, notification e-mails, confirmation messages and redirect URLs. Changing them one form at a time is slow, and it is easy to miss one. The Gravity Forms Find & Replace add-on finds every occurrence across all your forms (or only the forms you pick) and replaces them in one run.

Before anything changes you get a preview: every match, grouped by form and location, with the text before and after the change and its own tickbox. Untick what should stay, then press Apply selected. Every form the run touches is backed up first, the changes are written through the Gravity Forms API, and the whole run can be undone with one click from the Runs screen. If a form was edited after the run, undo warns you before it restores anything.

Choice values are left alone unless you opt in, because entries and conditional logic depend on them. When you do change one, the preview lists every conditional logic rule, notification routing rule, feed condition and conditional shortcode that tests the old value, and updates them to the new value too, so your logic keeps working. Feeds are only searched in safe plain-text settings such as the feed name or message: IDs, keys, field maps and credentials are never read or changed, and entries are never touched. Everything runs on your own server, with no outside connection. For Gravity Forms 2.9 and newer.

The add-on reads each form in scope through the Gravity Forms API and lists every text location for the places you ticked: the form title and description, the properties of each field, choice text (and choice values if you opt in), each notification and confirmation, the form settings text and an allowlist of plain-text feed settings. Your search runs on each of those values with the options you chose: plain text or a regular expression, match case and whole word. Regular expressions are checked before they run, patterns that match empty text are refused, and every pattern runs with a safety limit so a slow pattern cannot hang your site. The preview shows each match with the text around it and the replacement, and remembers a fingerprint of each value. When you apply, the add-on re-reads every form, skips any value that changed since the preview, saves an exact copy of each affected form (form settings, fields, notifications, confirmations and the feeds it touches) and then writes the changes with GFAPI::update_form and GFAPI::update_feed, so Gravity Forms clears its caches and runs its hooks. Undo puts the saved copy back exactly. Backups are kept for the number of days you set. Everything happens on your own server — the add-on makes no outside HTTP request beyond the licence and update checks.
