Gravity Forms
+ Form Blueprint

Turn any Gravity Form into a readable specification: settings, every field with its choices and rules, conditional logic written as plain sentences, a Logic Map of what controls what, calculations with field names, notifications with routing in words, confirmations, add-on feeds and where each field is used. Print it, save it as a PDF or download it as HTML, Markdown or CSV for client sign-off, handovers, audits and your own records. Read-only, nothing leaves your site.

Gravity Forms Form Blueprint Setup Guide: Document Any Form + PDF, HTML, Markdown & CSV Export

Video setup guide: Gravity Forms Form Blueprint

Core Features

One readable page per form: settings, pages, fields, conditional logic, Logic Map, calculations, notifications, confirmations, feeds
Conditional logic written as plain sentences, with choice labels: Show if Country is “United States” and Budget is greater than “5000”
Logic Map: a diagram of which fields control which fields, pages, Next and Submit buttons, notifications, confirmations and feeds
Every field: type, required, page, choices with values and prices, default, placeholder, rules, visibility, URL parameter, admin label, CSS class
Calculations with field names instead of ids: [Budget] * 1.1
Notifications: event, recipients, routing rules in words, the address from a field, From, Reply-To, subject, fields used and condition
Confirmations: message, page or redirect with query string and condition
Add-on feeds: add-on, name, state, fields used and condition; API keys and other feed settings are never shown
Where used: every place a field is referenced, and which fields are not used anywhere else
Form settings summary: submit button, progress, Save and Continue, anti-spam, login, entry limit, schedule, retention, pages that show the form
Print / Save as PDF, self-contained HTML file, Markdown for wikis and tickets, CSV of all fields
Choose the sections, hide builder details, add your “Prepared by” name and hide notification email addresses when sharing
Forms → Blueprint page with counts per form, a Blueprint tab in each form and a link in the Forms list
WP-CLI: wp gf-blueprint list and wp gf-blueprint export (html, md, csv, json)
Read-only: never changes a form, feed or entry; no outside service, no data leaves your site

What does it do?

A form that took a day to build takes an hour to explain. Clients want to sign off what the form does before it goes live, colleagues inherit forms they did not build, and nobody can say which fields a notification, a confirmation or a CRM feed depends on without opening every setting one by one. Conditional logic is the hardest part: it lives inside dozens of small panels, and a single changed choice can quietly hide a field or stop an email.

The Gravity Forms Form Blueprint add-on writes the whole form down for you. Open the Blueprint of a form and you get one readable page: the form settings, every field with its choices, rules and defaults, every conditional logic rule written as a sentence such as Show if Country is “United States” and Budget is greater than “5000”, a Logic Map diagram of which fields control which fields, pages, buttons, notifications, confirmations and feeds, calculations with field names instead of ids, notifications with routing in words, confirmations, add-on feeds and where each field is used. Print it, save it as a PDF, or download it as HTML, Markdown or CSV.

How does it work?

The add-on reads the form the same way Gravity Forms stores it: the fields with their choices and settings, the pages, the notifications, confirmations and the feeds of every add-on built on the Gravity Forms feed framework. It turns each conditional logic rule into a sentence using the field labels and choice texts, replaces field ids in calculations and merge tags with field names, and follows every reference to build the Logic Map and the “where used” list. Nothing is saved: the blueprint is built when you open it or download it, so it always matches the form as it is now. Feed settings such as API keys are never read into the blueprint, and nothing is sent to any outside service.

How do I enable this?

1
Install and activate the add-on, then activate your license key in Forms → Settings → Blueprint.
2
Open Forms → Blueprint, the Blueprint tab of a form, or the Blueprint link in the Forms list.
3
Read the form as one page: fields, conditional logic as sentences, the Logic Map, notifications, confirmations and feeds.
4
Print it, save it as a PDF, or download HTML, Markdown or CSV to share with a client or keep with your records.
