Turn every Gravity Forms submission into a FreeScout helpdesk conversation. The Gravity Forms FreeScout Premium Add-on creates a conversation with the customer and an opening message in the mailbox you choose, mapping your form fields to the subject, body, customer email and name, conversation type and status through the FreeScout API.

FreeScout is a free, self-hosted helpdesk, so you keep your data on your own server. Point the add-on at your FreeScout address, add an API key from the API & Webhooks module, and pick a default mailbox. Each feed decides the subject, which field holds the customer email, the first-name and last-name fields, the message (use {all_fields} for a full list of the answers), and the mailbox, type and status. Conditional logic lets a feed run only when you want it to.

Your API key is encrypted before it is stored on your site, it is never shown again and never written to an entry or a log, and the add-on only ever contacts the FreeScout address you set. A failed call never blocks the submission: the entry is still saved and a note explains what went wrong.

When a form is submitted, the add-on reads your feed, builds the conversation (customer email and name, subject, first message and mailbox) and sends it to your FreeScout with a POST to /api/conversations, authenticated with your API key in the X-FreeScout-API-Key header. It reads the new conversation number, keeps a note and a link on the entry, and never follows a redirect to another host. The API key is encrypted at rest and the FreeScout address is locked, so nothing is sent anywhere except your helpdesk.
