Gravity Forms
+ MCP Server Premium

Give AI agents a secure, scoped Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint for Gravity Forms: read form definitions and, with an explicit opt-in, entries, and trigger allow-listed actions over a token-scoped API. Read-only by default, with per-form permissions, rate limits and an audit log.

Gravity Forms MCP Server Setup Guide: Let AI Agents Read Forms and Entries with Scoped Tokens

Video setup guide: Gravity Forms MCP Server

Core Features

A standards-based Model Context Protocol (JSON-RPC 2.0) endpoint for Gravity Forms that AI agents connect to with a bearer token
Read-only by default: a new token can read form definitions and nothing more until you grant it more
Per-token scopes: read forms, read entries, submit forms, change entry status — each granted on purpose
Per-form allow-list: a token only ever sees the forms you explicitly add to it
Entries stay private until an admin opts a form in; writing and triggering are off unless enabled per token and per form
Per-token rate limits with standard RateLimit and Retry-After headers
A full audit log of every call: token, action, form, time and a hashed client IP
Token secrets encrypted at rest with the house envelope plus a SHA-256 hash; nothing is stored in clear
Tools exposed to agents: list_forms, get_form, list_entries, get_entry, submit_form and update_entry_status, filtered by scope
A public discovery endpoint and a developer API to create and verify tokens in code
The token manager and the audit log live right in the Gravity Forms settings; per-form opt-ins live in the form settings
Own-code: no outside service, no API key and no account; requirement notice for Gravity Forms 2.9 or newer

What does it do?

Let AI agents work with your forms, safely. The Gravity Forms MCP Server Premium Add-on adds a secure Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint to your site — the open standard that Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and other agents speak — so an agent can list your forms, read a form’s fields, and, when you allow it, read entries or submit a form, all over one token-scoped API on your own server.

Security is the whole point, so the defaults are strict. Every agent connects with its own bearer token, and a token is read-only until you grant it more. A token only ever sees the forms you add to its allow-list, nothing else. Entries stay completely private until you opt a form in for entry reading, and writing or triggering an action is off unless you switch it on for that token and that form. Each token has its own rate limit, and every single call — who, what, which form, when, from where — is written to an audit log.

It is own-code through and through. The add-on is a bridge between the WordPress REST API and MCP; it calls no outside service, needs no account and sends your form data nowhere. Token secrets are encrypted at rest, client IPs in the audit log are hashed, and uninstalling removes every option it stored.

How does it work?

The add-on registers one token-authenticated REST route that speaks the Model Context Protocol (JSON-RPC 2.0): initialize, tools/list and tools/call. On every call it verifies the bearer token, applies the token's per-minute rate limit, checks the scope and the per-form allow-list (and, for entries and writes, the admin's per-form opt-in), runs the tool against the Gravity Forms API, and writes an audit row. Token secrets are encrypted at rest and client IPs are hashed. Everything happens on your server; nothing is sent to any outside service.

How do I enable this?

1
Install and activate the add-on, then activate your license key in Forms → Settings → MCP Endpoint.
2
Create a token: give it a name, pick its scopes (start with read-only) and tick the forms it may see.
3
For any form whose entries an agent should read, or that an agent may submit, turn on the opt-in in that form's settings.
4
Point your agent at the MCP endpoint URL with the token as a bearer credential, and watch the calls appear in the audit log.
