Turn every form submission into a printed document. The Gravity Forms PrintNode Premium Add-on takes each submission and, through the PrintNode REST API, sends a print job to one of your registered printers. Print a file your visitor uploaded on the form — read on your own server and sent to PrintNode as base64 — or a PDF (or raw document) at a URL you map from your fields. Choose the printer per feed, or fall back to a default printer you set once, and the created PrintNode job id is stored with the entry.

It is built for anyone who needs paper to come out the moment a form is filled in: a kitchen printing order tickets, a warehouse printing shipping labels, a front desk printing waivers or badges, a clinic printing intake forms. Map the job title and the printer id from your fields, decide per feed whether to print an uploaded file or a document URL, choose PDF or raw, and the add-on sends the job. The created job id is stored with the entry and available as a merge tag ({printnode_job}), so your confirmation e-mail and admin notification can carry it to your team.

You connect it with your own PrintNode API key, created in your PrintNode account. A built-in printer picker lists the printers your key can see so you can choose one in a click, and a Test connection button confirms the key works without printing anything. The key is encrypted before it is stored on your site, it is never shown again and never written to an entry or a log, and the add-on only ever contacts the PrintNode REST API — an uploaded file is read on your server and sent only to PrintNode, never stored or forwarded anywhere else. The design is safe to retry: each entry is printed once, so a resent submission never prints a second copy. A PrintNode account, an API key and a PrintNode client with a registered printer are required; signup is free.

When a form is submitted and the feed condition is met, the add-on reads the feed: the printer to use (mapped, or the default from the settings), the job title, and the document source. For an uploaded file it reads the file on your server — only from this site's uploads folder — and sends it to PrintNode as base64 (pdf_base64 or raw_base64). For a URL it sends the document link (pdf_uri or raw_uri) for PrintNode to fetch. One request POSTs the print job to the PrintNode REST API with your API key in the HTTP Basic Authorization header; the host is fixed to api.printnode.com, a redirect is never followed, and the key never travels in the URL or the body. The created job id is stored with the entry and exposed as a merge tag, a clear note records what happened, and each entry is printed once so a retry never sends a second job.
