Turn every form submission into a Sendy subscription. The Gravity Forms Sendy Premium Add-on takes each submission and, through the Sendy API, subscribes the contact to the list you choose, mapping the email, name and any custom fields from your form fields — a company, a plan, a city. It can also unsubscribe a contact, so a sign-up form, a preference form or an unsubscribe form each do exactly what you need the moment the form is submitted.

It is built for anyone who runs their own newsletters in Sendy: creators, agencies, membership sites and shops who self-host their email and want a subscriber added automatically from a form instead of by hand. Decide per feed whether to subscribe or unsubscribe, which list to use, which fields become the name and custom fields, and whether to pass through double opt-in and GDPR consent. Because Sendy is self-hosted, you connect with your own Sendy installation URL and API key, so the add-on works with any Sendy install, in a subfolder or on its own subdomain. The subscription result is kept with the entry and available as a merge tag for your notifications.

You connect it with your own Sendy installation URL and the API key from your Sendy Settings. The key is encrypted before it is stored on your site, it is never shown again and never written to an entry or a log. The add-on only ever contacts the Sendy installation URL you set. A Test connection button on the settings page confirms your URL, key and list by reading a subscription status, without subscribing anyone, and the design is safe to retry: a contact is subscribed once per entry, even if a submission is resent.

When a form is submitted and the feed condition is met, the add-on resolves the list (the feed's list id, or the default from the settings) and the subscriber email, builds the name and custom fields from the fields you mapped, and — when subscribing — adds the double opt-in and GDPR consent flags you chose. It then posts one request to the Sendy API: subscribe or unsubscribe, with your API key in the request body, to the installation URL you set. The host is fixed to your Sendy installation URL, a redirect is never followed, and the API key never travels in the URL and is never written to a note or a log. Sendy answers in plain text; the add-on reads it, stores the result on the entry to back the {sendy_status} merge tag, writes a clear note, and runs once per entry so a retry never subscribes the contact twice.
