What does it do?

WPBakery Page Builder controls the layout of your page, but the Gravity Forms form inside it usually keeps the theme's grey buttons and the plugin's default spacing. The Gravity Forms WPBakery Elements add-on brings the form into the builder. The Gravity Form element places any form, with the title, description, AJAX, field values and tab index settings you expect, and styles it with more than 100 settings: the form box, title, labels, inputs and drop downs, checkboxes and radios, buttons with hover and focus states, validation messages, the confirmation message and multi-step progress bars and steps.

Every placement has its own look, with separate tablet and mobile values, stacked fields and full-width buttons on phones. The frontend editor shows the real form and updates as you change a setting, and can show validation errors, the confirmation or any page of a multi-page form while you style it.

The Gravity Form Popup element opens a form in an accessible popup from a button, a text link, a timer or exit intent, with its own width, overlay and trigger styles. No CSS to write, no jQuery added and no outside files. For Gravity Forms 2.7 and newer.

How does it work?

The elements are registered with the standard WPBakery element API, so they appear in the Add element window with WPBakery's own settings window, colour pickers and Design Options tab. Each element renders the real Gravity Forms form and writes a small set of CSS rules for that one element, only for the settings you filled in, so the same form can look different on different pages and the form itself is never changed. Every value is checked before it is used: colours, sizes and spacing must be valid, anything else is ignored. In the frontend editor the element is rendered again after each change, with the Gravity Forms styles included and the form's scripts left out, and the preview setting can show the validation, confirmation or a later page without submitting the form. The popup is a native HTML dialog with a 4 KB script and no jQuery. The elements are stored as shortcodes, so forms keep showing even when WPBakery is switched off. Everything runs on your own site; the add-on makes no outside request beyond the licence and update checks.
