What does it do?

GravityExtra Accessibility Toolbar adds a small button to every page of your site. Visitors who press it get a panel of tools to adjust the page for their own needs: larger text, more line and letter spacing, high-contrast, dark or light views, grayscale, a readable font, highlighted links and headings, a big cursor, stop animations, a reading guide or mask, hidden images and read aloud with the browser's own voice. Profiles for low vision, dyslexia, motion sensitivity and focus switch on a set of tools with one press. No Gravity Forms needed.

The toolbar itself works with the keyboard and screen readers: a real button, a labelled dialog that keeps the focus inside and closes with Esc, buttons that report when they are on, announcements for every change, a keyboard shortcut and no animation for visitors who ask their device for reduced motion. Choices are saved in the visitor's own browser, with no cookies and nothing sent anywhere.

The toolbar changes how pages look on the visitor's device; it does not change how your site is built, so it works best next to accessible content and design. A built-in generator writes a plain-language accessibility statement page from your facts, describing your goals, what you do and what you are still working on.

How does it work?

The plugin prints the toolbar at the end of each page that shows it: a button and a dialog of real buttons, styled by a small scoped stylesheet. A small deferred script applies the visitor's choices as classes on the page and remembers them in the browser's localStorage; a few lines in the page head apply saved choices before the page is drawn. Text size scales each element from its own size, the contrast views replace text, background and link colours with tested pairs, and read aloud uses the speech built into the browser. Nothing loads on pages where the toolbar is hidden, and the only outside requests are the GravityExtra license and update checks.
