Stay Booking

GravityExtra Stay Booking lets guests book your rooms directly on your WordPress site. You describe each accommodation type once, with photos, amenities, beds, size and how many guests it takes, and list its rooms. Guests search by check-in, check-out and party size, see only what is free, pick dates on an availability calendar that shows the nightly price, add extras such as breakfast or parking, and see the full price with fees and tax before they pay. No Gravity Forms needed.

Prices follow your seasons: a base price per night, seasonal rates for date ranges or weekends, and minimum and maximum stays, also per season. Take a deposit as a percentage or a fixed amount and collect the balance later, online from the guest's booking page or at the desk. Card payments run on Stripe's hosted Checkout page and PayPal payments through the PayPal Orders API, so your pages load no outside payment script. A payment only counts after the plugin has verified it with the gateway and checked that the amount matches the booking.

Every night of every room can be taken once: the database itself refuses a second booking for the same room and night, also when two guests press Book at the same moment. Rooms are held while a guest pays and released when the payment time runs out. Calendar feeds (iCal) keep other booking sites in step, e-mails go to the guest and to you, and the admin has a booking list with filters, a booking page with actions and a month calendar of all rooms.

Each accommodation type is a WordPress post with its prices, rules and rooms. When a guest asks for a price, the server calculates it night by night from your base price and seasons, adds extras, fees and tax, and the browser only shows that result; the same calculation is stored with the booking and sent to Stripe or PayPal. Booking takes every night of one free room in a single database statement that the database refuses when any of those nights is already taken. Payments are confirmed by a signed Stripe webhook or by reading the session back from Stripe, and by capturing the PayPal order or a webhook that PayPal has verified. Calendar feeds are fetched with WordPress's safe HTTP functions from http and https addresses only.
