Mega Menu

Build your menu in Appearance → Menus as you always do, then turn any top-level item into a mega panel. GravityExtra Mega Menu adds rows and columns to the item and lets you fill them with sub-menu links, widgets, synced patterns made with the block editor, custom HTML, images, icon cards and tabs. Your menus stay normal WordPress menus, so switching the mega menu off gives your theme the same menu back.

Menus can run horizontally across the header or vertically in a sidebar. On phones the menu becomes a menu button that opens an off-canvas drawer or an accordion, with every panel stacked into one column. A sticky bar, hover or click opening, and colours, fonts, spacing and animations with a live preview of your own menu make it fit your theme. No Gravity Forms needed.

The menu works with the keyboard and screen readers: links stay links, every panel has its own button with aria-expanded and aria-controls, Esc closes and returns focus, arrow keys move through items and tabs, and the focus ring is always visible. The stylesheet and the small script load only on pages that show a mega menu, with no jQuery and no outside requests.

The plugin stores the panel layout of each menu item with that item and draws the menu itself when your theme asks for a menu location, or where you place the block or the shortcode. The markup follows the WAI-ARIA disclosure navigation pattern, a small plain script opens and closes panels by hover, click and keyboard and switches to the phone layout below your breakpoint, and the stylesheet uses CSS variables from your style settings. Custom HTML is cleaned with WordPress's post rules when it is saved and again when it is shown. Nothing loads on pages without a mega menu, and the only outside requests are the GravityExtra license and update checks.
